What artwork do you need to start a Mosaic?

Starting a mosaic is actually really simple and all that is required is choosing a Mosaic Image. Below are the 2 things that can be created for your Mosaic display.

  • Mosaic Image

  • Custom Mosaic Overlay Graphic (Optional)

Read below about the specifications & examples of each type of graphic. Once they have been created, then you can upload them into Photoboxx.

Mosaic Image

The mosaic image graphic is used as the final image users see as the mosaic display. This is the main image that you want all user’s photos to fill into to make the final mosaic display image.

Mosaic Image Specifications

  • Required to be 16:9 (landscape) or 9:16 (portrait) aspect ratio

  • Recommended image sizes are: 1920px x 1080px (landscape) OR 1080px by 1920px (portrait)

Custom Mosaic Overlay Graphic

The custom mosaic image graphic is an option feature to add on your mosaic. This image is used as a static layer that users will always see on the mosaic display. Learn more about how this image works on the "Overlay Layer" here.

Below is a PSD template to work with on creating your custom overlay graphic.

This graphic must be transparent in order to overlay properly on the Mosaic Image. You can use this graphic to display borders, extra logos, text, and other graphics to enhance the look of your mosaic.
